You can’t visit Golden without taking a tour of the Coors Brewery. It’s the largest single site brewery, not just in American, but in the entire world. You can take a guided tour or tour the facility on your own. As long as you are 21 or older, you can enjoy samples of products made by Coors after finishing the tour.

The Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave

Want to learn more about the culture of the Old West? The Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave is the spot for that. Here you will find several permanent exhibits that highlight research into Buffalo Bill’s life. The museum also has special exhibits that are displayed for short periods of time. Denver Biking Trails

Biking enthusiasts love Denver. This progressive city has more than 850 miles of paved bike trails connected to hundreds of miles of dirt trails – perfect for mountain bike adventures.

The Greenway Trail is a 30 mile paved trail along the South Platte River. Most of Denver’s early history was centered in the area, and there are many historical markers along the trail. The trail ends at Chatfield State Recreation Area, a huge park with horseback riding, swimming, and sailing.

The Cherry Creek Trail is one of the most popular trails from Denver along Cherry Creek. The bike path goes directly behind the Cherry Creek Shopping District with 500 stores, galleries, and restaurants.

Four mile House and Historic Park, site of a stagecoach stop and the oldest structure in Denver is a good rest area along Cherry Creek Trail. The trail also leads to Cherry Creek Recreation Area, one of Denver’s largest lakes with camping, boating, swimming, and picnic areas.

Clear Creek Bike Path is a paved, 20-mile urban adventure to Golden, Colorado. Golden was Colorado’s first capital city. The quaint town is filled with Western stores, outdoor cafes, and restaurants. The Miller Coors brewery is nearby.

The Colorado Railroad Museum is just off the Clear Creek Bike Path. The museum displays 50 locomotives and exhibits about the narrow gauge railroads so important to Colorado’s history.

Green Mountain, North Table Mountain, and South Table Mountain are three buttes that offer more challenging mountain bike trails. The trails are rocky and steep, but the view at the top is worth the effort.

In the Prehistoric Journey Gallery, you will witness a fight between an Allosaurus and Stegosaurus, complete with sound effects. Children can handle real fossils and watch paleontologists prepare newly discovered fossils for exhibit or study.
